Advice in Friendships

Picture
We are presently recruiting participants for a paid research study being conducted. We are interested in studying how friends provide advice to one another on life and romantic relationship events.  At least one member of the friend pair must currently be involved in a romantic relationship.  The other friend may also be or may be single.  Both friends and the romantic partner of one of the friends need to be able to come to our lab at the Social Science Research Center for an hour.

To qualify you must be 18 or older, speak fluent English, be in the Golden Triangle area, be female, have a female friend/confidante and a romantic partner who can accompany you to the lab.

Students and community members are welcome to participate.

The broad goal of this study is to understand how friends communicate. You’ll be asked to complete a screening questionnaire online and then if you meet the criteria for the study, you will be asked together to the lab for an observational study.

Directions to the Lab
