Undergraduate Research Assistants
We are incredibly proud of the work the undergraduates complete each semester and their overall academic achievements.
Each semester, the undergraduate research assistants work with graduate students to collect data for experimental research, give surveys, participate in coding projects using archival data, and transcribe data. If you are interested in getting involved, click here.
Undergraduates participating in the lab for course credit also complete a final project either alone or in a small group. Some of these final projects are student-led data collection endeavors we call mini-projects. The recent mini-projects completed in our lab involve creating online surveys (developing new measures or conducting an online experiment), analyzing and presenting previously collected data, or engaging in field experiments on MSU's campus (such as testing the bystander effect in the union or library).
Here is an example of Toni Creecy's (class of 2010) field experiment on the effects of attractiveness on helping behavior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUMtoF3woPg
Here is an example of Sarah Lisenbe's (class of 2008) field study of blind conformity: http://www.betterdaystv.net/play.php?vid=19443
